FEDERAL LAW MAKER APOLOGIES

 

Federal law maker apologies to Rivers State people for helping bring Wike to power. In a conversation monitored via Atlantic Network. The law maker, Chiyere Igwe who is representing Port Harcourt Constituency 2 and who's arrest has been declared by the Governor stated that it is regrettable that a Governor whom he was part of those who brought him to power, has not created any job opportunities or human empowerment program, but rather has continued to destroy private businesses and making the State hostile to investors. He also stated that the interest of the Governor is now flaunted as the interest of the State. In another conversation by another PDP Stalwart, Ikechi Chinda, whose Hotel PreRay, was also sealed off has wondered why the Governor who is seeking to broker peace with the Presidential candidate of the PDP would then go on a witch-hunt rampage. Ikechi Chinda also added that if the antics of the Governor is to force himself and others to leave the PDP it will not work.

You would recall that last week Friday the Governor directed the sealing off of some business Premises belonging to members of the PDP who are seen to be loyal to Austin Okpara and the PDP Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The Governor has stated that those law makers who are not supportive to the state interest may not be supported on election day.

Meanwhile, residents of the State are concerned that the Governor's recent actions may worsen the political atmosphere of the state and may lead to election violence come 2023. 

Some other residents can care less of the statement of the Federal Law maker, as they think that the time is far spent on the day, as the Governor has less than 10 months in office.
